Do we have an FAQ or Sticky page that is maintained?

There are lots of stickies at the top of most of the popular sub-forum pages....like General Sportsmobile, 4x4, Electrical/Electronics, etc....

..are you thinking of FAQs/Stickies for navigating the website like posting pictures, etc?

Sorry, just meant a general faq that covers almost everything. Ih8mud (land cruisers) does an amazing job at this

It's a great idea but not something we've ever really done here. Probably easier with us to just ask specific questions and the 'specialists' in that category will usually tell you more than you want to know.

Hi bison! Hope all is well to the north and not too hot! Temps here the city were cold enough to wear a jacket yesterday.

I think each online community has lots to offer and in different ways.

For this forum, I typically use a search engine, usually Google, to search the forum regarding a subject I want to know more about:

Example:
"site:Sportsmobileforum.com pop top canvas"
Search results will bring up posts, images, etc.

I refine the search by adding additional search words, example: add "repair windows" to the above to narrow the results. Or add a poster's username such as "Scalf77".

Some searches are better using the forums search engine approach, especially if looking for "started by".

I then open the individual result lines in a new tab to preserve the search result list.

As boywonder said, there are Stickies in many categories. And as 86Scotty suggested, just start a thread asking a question, or resurrect a thread that is similar in nature to your question.

Lots of treasures here!

Thanks, Ray! Just see questions that we post here time and time again. Forum search works, I just sometimes miss the gold in threads that I don't hit. Sounds like we're pretty happy with the way it is, so I'll keep quiet
