This build isn't going to be that interesting as the interior is going to be mainly open. I'll share my build with you anyway

The Van should be here by Monday but here is a pic from the seller.

This will be my second 4x4 van. I sold it years ago and have missed it since they day it left me. It was a 2000 Ford E350 Quigley RB Cargo with 5.4 V8. It was underpowered for the Colorado High Country. Here is a pic:

Should be a fun build and hopefully i can get it so i can haul my toys inside.

Re: 2003 Quigley 7.3 Van Build

The heater is a Wave 3 Olympian Heater. I had this in my truck camper as a second heater. It helped keep the furnace from cycling all night long. I do A LOT of winter camping. This will not be enough heat for winter camping. I already own a honda 2000 generator. I will use this along with a small ceramic electric heater. Espar's are cool but that would be an out of pocket expense.

The propane tank I found at a local conversion company (Vanture) I was talking to the guy and he said he had a NEW tank that was from a customer that backed out. The deal he gave me was below his cost. I confirmed it though other sources.

I have limited funds for the conversion so a lot of my mods are based off of what I can find.

A new top costs $1,400 in Colorado (just the top). I got one out of a junk yard. Even if it were brand new the pop up from CCV is still cheaper than an SMB PH Top. Also this pop up will have much more room than an SMB not to mention the added headroom when it is down and traveling.

The interior of my van is OK. I am going to start a tour of the local salvage yards to find parts to clean it up.

Besides the heater I had some of the other parts from my Tacoma
- Battery
- Fridge
- Tires

Some of my plans have changed now that i have taken delivery of the van and it is running (a story for later)
The floor was replaced by the previous owner. He didn't do that bad of a job. I will not replace the floor.
I will not be purchasing a National Luna Dual Battery set up. I will use a simple battery separator
I will not being installing QuietRide. Mostly to save money and the van is not as loud as i thought.

Again the interior of my van is going to be super simple as i need it completely open to haul my toys.

This project should start to take off next week

FWIW, I prefer 1 or 3.

I still like the industrial look rims from this place.
