Thanks Daveb and JackTupp! So it is a heater lol guess I'll be pulling that out and selling it. 90% of this things life is going to be driving around sunny South Florida lol I'll keep the block heater for the motor and a plug in space heater for those trips into colder weather.
I'll have to spend some time this weekend remembering how to draw so I can scribble down some designs
Hey guys! It's been quite a while since my last update, had motor rebuild after motor rebuild at my job so my own motor had to get wrapped up and put in a corner for a few months lol and I only just got the bus back at the shop this past weekend after getting it towed out to a safer location before hurricane Irma came to town.
I just created an account on imgur so I can sttart embedding pictures into my posts, so over the next couple days I'll be posting the pictures and what I've done on progress.
Spent a few hours degreasing and then a few more hours metal prepping the motor to get the coat of por15 rust preventative on it
After that I got the first coat of thunderbird red on....man this stuff went on way thicker than I ever thought it was going to. Definitely didn't lay down as well as I want so I'll be going back over it with and sand paper to sand out the waves and stuff, I'll be spraying on another coat or 2 with the red after that.
Ripping out all the extra coolant and a/c lines running to the back of the bus, and prepping the engine bay for painting, started with the cowl to get the sprayer dialed in.
It's definitely going to have a.c., just not with the equipment that's in it now. This unit I'm pulling out is run off a compressor on the motor which I'm not going to be using. I'm simplifying the engine bay down to bare essentials. I'll be using this a.c. unit
