Pondering design / execution and waiting for parts was probably 1/3rd of my build time. I could probably knock this out in half the time now.

Side box pics are in post #103 (link below). My goal was retain a 48" width for garage space. 1x2's Kregg screwed and glued with 1/4" sides and 1/2" tops.

These pods are U shaped on the bottom and I used some nutcert attached furring strips below the window. These were from a prior design I ditched so I hacked attachments in place. No real load close to the windows anyway. Passenger side was done first.. Should have measured twice!

I also added storage nets inside each pod.

Thanks! I must have missed that. I was planning to do a similar bed/garage setup but run my bed width to 53" for a full size mattress to fit in between since I have a stock roof. Once I finish my floor system, it's on to the sides.

Slow but steady progress... Aluminess gear is mostly installed. Still waiting for a couple parts to ship. Also finished the bed cushion covers. 98% complete and we're loving it. March will be 2 years since the top was installed.

Hi Lyall,
It looks like that was a passenger van. I have a RB passenger the AC unit in the driver side rear and vents on ceiling.... is there a way to re-route the AC if you put a high top on like yours? Really nice looking van you have.
