Mods from a new dude - anyone good w/ FORScan?

Hello everyone,

First time posting here - I finally got a decent amount done on my van to share

Two main questions regarding a couple mods of done:

1. I've done a lift with larger wheels and was wondering if it is even possible to configure the tire size with my year van. I've searched and searched and haven't been able to find much of anything regarding this on the web (that relates to the 09 Econoline) Did find lots for other vehicles like the F-150 but doesn't seem to translate.

2. I also installed an aluminess rear bumper and opted not to use the factory backup sensors. I hooked up my FORscan and checked my PAM module - only one setting: 736-01-01 with one box code "0140". I imagine I need to change something here plus in the GEM module. Hoping someone was able to crack this here?

Here is my rig:

It's been awhile....but I think the 2008+ vans have the speedo calibration somehow involved with the ABS module. I have a 2008 and had no luck calibrating my speedo with 285/70-17's with a few tools.

The speedo read about 10% low. That being said my van had 3.73 gearing and chronically downshifted on grades with the 285 tires; when I re-geared to 4:10s I had a noticeable (and very worthwhile) improvement in climbing grades and the speedo is only off by maybe 3% or less.

I have a homebrew rear bumper and I integrated the backup sensors in the bumper with rubber grommets, and they work pretty well.

I believe our speedo was calibrated using a 5 Star tuner

Thanks for the info - yeah haven't found anything useful on the speedo/wheel adjustment.

Nice bumper. I'm looking to disable the PAM - don't ever plan to use the sensors. So still hoping that someone has figured it out

I've seen these before. How do you like it? Do you have the 5.4 in your van? Better gas mileage? Performance?

It didn't work with mine. I'm going to try again.

I first modified wheel size with Forscan, which didn't work, then with my 5-star Tuner, which also didn't work.

Haven't played with it at all, actually. It's what UJOR uses on every one of their conversations to correct for tire size.

Interesting, maybe worth hitting up UJOR to see if they have any tips?

I had a custom tune for the 2005 E350 I had and they were able to recalibrate the speedo so it can be done.

Gearhead tuning out of Texas. Its been quite a number of years but looks like their site is up and they are up and in business which isn't always the case these days with diesel tuners. Their customer service was always good when I had any questions.
