New to me QuadVan interior build out about to start.

Great video of the undercarriage in action. Lots of moving parts to watch. I am amazed that you could figure out which one it was. Glad you found the source that noise would have driven me nuts.

Re: New to me QuadVan interior build out about to start.

Larrie, It was driving me crazy. I probably spent 5 hours removing and moving things around to find it. Someone with more mechanical experience would have probably found it much quicker.

It was interesting to move the GoPro all over the place and watch all the moving parts. I have a bunch of video clips from the process now including one where I hit it with the swing arm fairly hard. I try to post that one in a few minutes.

Couple more YouTube videos of the "Search for Noises" series.

Hitting the camera with the swing arm / Galley box: Turn up volume. Great sample of what not to do!

Brent,

That new top is growing on me. At first it looked too tall, but now I like it.

Hope to see you on the road,

Mike

Re: New to me QuadVan interior build out about to start.

Mike, it's still tall for me....

Working on building the roof rack with one extra lower support bar to minimize it's height. We will see what happens.

I am enjoying the extra walking height inside.

On my way to the beach to let the hound run around while I tinker on the van.

XMAS drive with the hound to the beach.

Took a short time lapse video of the hound on the way to the beach in the van. Very rough but had a good time playing with it.

Quick Disconnects...

Had an email exchange with JKS today, the manufactures of the disconnects I have been having issues with and they started they were not designed for the weight and size of the vans. Quick look at their website and it looks like most of their gear is make for Jeeps.

Going to call QuadVan tomorrow and see what can be done.

Anyone have quick disconnects on their van?

New to me QuadVan interior build out about to start.

Hey there Brent,
Van top looks great! Not sure if you compared Fiberine to Sportsmobiles Voyager top, but I'm going to switch my penthouse pop top for a fixed top in the next couple months.
Actually going to redo my interior as well, but was wondering if you compared the the two manufacturers and why you chose Fiberine.
I have a 2006 EB Diesel. I'm really looking forward to be able to stand up at all times inside my van since my rig is my daily driver for my business. Thanks for the pictures of the rear, I'm in contact with Aluminess to do the top rack along with adding the box like yours as well as the bike rack.
Any info you'd like to share in regards to fixed tops, I'm all ears. Anyone else out there with an opinion, please share. Thanks in advance!
