Re: 2004 GMC Savanna SMB Quigley Glendale, CA
From Seller: GMC Savanna 3500 has V8, 6.0 Vortec Engine...it has absolutely no issue. It does not have a propane tank/line and food was never cooked inside the Sportsmobile.

Re: 2004 GMC Savanna SMB Quigley Glendale, CA
Not bad. A GM 6.0 is a solid engine with reasonable fuel economy. And the Quigley 4x4 is the same as the GM p/u 4x4.
Price is pretty good compared to a Ford of the same vintage.
No propane is an issue for some.

What would someone do for heat? I'm fine with a portable cooking device of some sort and/or portable gas gen.

I'm curious about this as well. Are there any safe options for high elevation 8,500 feet and above?

It looks like there is a stove on the counter next to the sink. If it does have a stove, it must have a connection for a portable propane tank.
As far as heat, I think I've read people using something called a "Mr. Buddy" propane heater. Not sure what elevation does to the usability though.

You figure that's a stove? I don't see any heat shield above it, don't the builtins usually have a heat shield?
Also this is not the place for heater discussion, please take it to: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12414

Looks like a lid to one, but I noticed that there wasnt a heat shield above it also. Maybe its a lid for a top loading storage area?

Espar (and maybe Webasto?) make a gasoline-fired heater, although they don't seem too popular.
