V10-fest

Given some real interest in V10's lately, I thought I'd do a quick search and see what's out there. Sorry, I'm not taking the time at lunch to post pics.

Whoa. That Bend van is nice!

I don't even think the price is too far out of line. Newest year you can buy, ESOF, reupholstered seats, plus all the Aluminess goodies.

Agreed, but that thing is going to hell of hot in the summer, I hope it has a serious A/C system.

It's not a roof rack on that van, it's a roof sun shade.

I had a lot of windows in my red SMB, and 117 degrees in Phoenix was no fun. Factory AC along with 12V ProAir AC could NOT come close to keeping up.

An extended black van was what I wanted (and still kinda do). The ad says $44k to build, not including the price of the van. Not sure I agree with that statement, but who knows!

The QuadVan conversion certainly wasn't cheap. Looks like every option was ticked off, and the roof rack wiring looks like QuadVan's too, so I'd guess north of $25-30k for all of that work (with bumpers/rack/ladder/sliders etc). I'm sure the slider door extension was put in too. I see the shadow of a full size underfloor storage, and I think a larger fuel tank too.

Upholstery could easily tun 6 figures for a rig that size....

I've never had issues with keeping cool, even in Death Valley. The factory rear A/C has amply capacity even for a dark van.

That is a beautiful van. It always amazes me that something like that will be built and then quickly sold and furthermore, found at a used car lot. Weird.
