7.3 E-Series Orange turbo boot fix

I’ve seen the question asked a lot and I couldn’t find a definite answer on a replacement for the orange pre turbo intake boot on OBS 7.3’s. They discontinued the boot due to it being thin and cracking easy, and the F Series replacement does NOT work with Econolines. Ford does however make a replacement retrofit kit for the boot and crank case vent housing. Ford PN F7UZ-9C681-AA. Don’t know why it took me 2 dealers to tel me this, but it did. Took about an hour and my worries of cracked boots are gone. Hope this helps someone.

The only change I’ve noticed is there is an increased intake drone. I have a custom intake with a cone filter, I’m not sure if the stock intake would have the same results.
