The motor will be in this week. Harness is completely done and grounded. Fuel swap is next then hook it up and fire it. The atlas is also already rebuilt and re-geared for the 6 speed. Rob wants his shop back so we are stepping things up a lot.

Thanks for that. I'm from the 7.3 world and have always been told that the pistons melt with excesive EGT. Good to hear of some of the other failure points.


I always drive by EGT and never exceed 1150 pre-turbo for more than a few seconds (as in, it only happens if I'm on cruise and slip for a few seconds). I believe this is on the cautious side, but I'm OK with that.
