Re: New engines

Maybe I'm in denial, but the death of the Ford full size van has been reported numerous times before. Probably on borrowed time, but with enough demand for the full size, I hope Ford keeps it around.

Re: New engines

There may be a hiccup in Ford transit availability.

"Though Toyota is getting the brunt of the attention for what are apparently faulty gas pedals, the fact that the problem has been traced to supplier CTS means that Toyota isn’t the only OEM that’s shutting down production until a fix for the pedals is found. Bloomberg reports that Ford’s JV with Jiangling Motors in Nanchang, China has halted production of the Ford Transit commercial van, after switching over to CTS-supplied pedals in December."

Re: New engines

I read that for 2011, Ford pickups may get a V-6 (ecoengine? or some name like that) that gets 28 mpg highway in the full size pu. It is also turbocharged so it has V8 power. Lets hope they put it in the new Transit vans also. Sprinters are too big for me. If the Transits are a carbon copy, I'm looking at the Chevy Express. 18/6" long, same width as a E150, about the same height.
PS The current Transit Connect is made in Turkey.

Re: New engines

I kinda think it would look good with 315's, bumpers etc. though.

You can find most of your answers on the SMB Wiki site.
