Thanks again, all.

I took it down to the local shop here... they presumably checked out the fuel system and couldn't find anything else wrong (fuses, relays, hoses, filter, etc. etc.). However, they said the replacement parts from Ford would be north of $550, with another few $100's for installation - over a $1000 for a fuel pump.

Seems a bit off to me, but...

Anyhoo... I elected to give the current widget another chance to see if perhaps it just didn't like being ignored for two months. I'll start it every few days from here on out and see if restores my confidence. If not... I'll fork over the grand at some point. Just still in shock a fuel pump on a stinkin cargo van will cost me $1000. Crazy.

I paid $119 for the pump (not ford) $22 for the strainer, $13 for the filter, $212 labor, and $85 for the diagnostic (clipping on a fuel pressure gauge) Total out the door was $464. I would go somewhere else.
