Thank you. This will be my last option. I did read the sticky about how to do this, and it's more involved than I was hoping! And I'm not sure I have all of the tools to create new shelves....

Agree with boywonder and REF, make a new one from good grade plywood...Then it won't happen again...You have a good template...
If you don't have a table saw, find a woodworker/cabinet maker.

SMB moved away from MDF a while back. At least the 2008 build from Texas was a coreply/corelight? product...Still not as good as good ply, but a bit lighter than ply and came with laminate skin that can still edge soak/bubble.
Next time it rains or water spills...
