Suggestions your cant live without
I use my espar to pre heat my 6.0 whenever its cold. Short cold runs aint good on a diesel. I get hot water in less than 4 min. As far as items I like or dislike, this is what I have found. Owning a SMB will make you think outside the box over and over again, and you might change your ideas as you use the vehicle. As of this date, these are some of the items that I want or feel that are a waste of time. Of course this will change as time goes on:
My favorite items.
4X4 with front lockers.
3 Solar panels-the more the better.
Electric PH top.
My navigation system.
Visor clips. To keep the visors “up” on 4X4 roads.
Full float rear axle with air bags.
Diesel heater. (No propane).
The big Refrigerator.
Air compressor.
Winch and bumpers.
Propane door for power outlets, water, and air. (No propane)
Diesel water heater (Espar Flat Plate) WITH MUFFLER!
Lights on all of the switches on the console controls.
LED Light on the outside light switch.
Things I wish I had.
Extra heavy duty hinge on rear bumper and custom box to hold the weight of 8 fuel cans.
More battery. Maybe a higher tech battery.
17" rims with the best brake upgrade.
2 more inches of body lift if possible to compensate for the larger tires if needed.
More insulation inside van and engine compartment.
Better sealing where DUST enters the van.
Air plumed to both sides of van.
Lockers in the rear.
Ability to turn off roof florescent light from either end of the PH bed.
Control panel for the inverter close to the side door.
External speaker plugs.
External solar plug.
Solar plug on roof to add a panel to my load warrior when not loaded down.
More support on the passenger PH rail. This has a lot of flex.
Tire pressure monitor.
A better method to secure the privicy curtains (the screws continue to pull out of the ceiling and needs to be addressed).
Things I would not do again.
Link 10 monitor.
(I am sure this will grow as well as items I like). I have had problems with the vehicle and feel fortunate I live close to Fresno.

Dave you should be able to put a pair of switches in for the PH bed pretty easy. The rest... well... $$$.
Also, I'm curious how long you've owned your van and how many miles?

my lists
Features I'm most glad I went for: - - Penthouse pop-top
- 4x4 (essential for what I like to do)
- Solar panels (so I can boondock for more than one night without starting the engine)
- GPS/navigation
Fantasy features I'd love to add: - - Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS) like the Hummers and Mexican luxury busses have, so I can air up and down while driving.
- Ability to raise and lower the suspension

Jage,Howdy. A little late but I just got back from a weekend of fishin on Sonora Pass. I have had my van since Dec of 2005. I am pushing 20,000 miles. I am very happy with my purchase. I wasn't sure if I wanted something this small, but I saw a Earth Roamer and am glad I have a vehicle that can go were this thing can go. Yes, its got some scratches but thats what I bought it for.
