Charlie, Thank you for calling peter at SMBW. He called me and will install the 12 V inline switch for the refrigerator. He will also install a Master cut off switch on the pos line from the battery which will have to be about 5 feet from the battery. SMB does not install a master cut off switch as part of their build. I know this will get done now thanks to your call and e mail to Peter on my behalf. Thanks again,
Angel''

Re: What is the best performing 12 volt refrigerator?

I know this is an old thread but I thought I should use it

My Isotherm Curise 130 with ASU is working perfectly. With the 130 watt solar panel, I can keep it on all the time so my van is ready to go.

Charlie56, SMBW did not zip tie the asu after all our calls, e mails and copies of your post and instructions given to them. After the first rough road the refrig did not work. I called Peter at SMBW. He called me back and said he could not find anyone who zip tied it in. I pulled the refrig, zip tied in the asu, (as it was unplugged/lose) and it has worked ever since. Thanks for your post, pictures and help.

I have gotten an error msg a couple times (I had it on "manual" at the time). I switched the refrig off then back on via "the refrig cutoff switch", located in front of the sink by all the other switches. SMB did that switch right.

If you order the refrig, be careful with the part #. Mine came with a 3 sided flush mounting flange instead of a 4 sided one (because of the part # used). SMB fabricated a piece for the bottom of the frig and it looks great.
