Ignition Chime

An 07 E-350, I have eliminated the door open/key -in chime, but cannot find the way to silence the 5 tone key-in pre start chime. I have removed the ignition, taped various contacts and searched everywhere for a chime source to unplug but no luck. Anyone as annoyed with this noise as I am, and found a solution?

Re: Ignition Chime

Found out that it is the seatbelt warning chime, even though we went through the chime elimination procedure in the manual. Thanks

Re: Ignition Chime

Piece-a-pie Patrick.
Just remove the three screws that hold on the cover at the bottom of the steering column. Then unscrew the lever that adjusts the steering wheel angle. There is a black wire with a pink stripe coming out of the ignition switch and going into a loom. Just cut the wire and all will be quiet. I'd clip it in the middle so there's enough to splice it back together, just in case....
