Just remove the three screws that hold on the cover at the bottom of the steering column. Then unscrew the lever that adjusts the steering wheel angle. There is a black wire with a pink stripe coming out of the ignition switch and going into a loom. Just cut the wire and all will be quiet. I'd clip it in the middle so there's enough to splice it back together, just in case....
