Improving Turning Radius
Hi All,
I've got a '93 e350 7.5L V8 with Quigley conversion and the turning radius on it is pretty bad.
Are there any modifications I can do to the van to increase the turning radius?

Can you see what's limiting your wheel cut angle? Is the tire hitting the sway bar or frame? If not, are the knuckle stops engaging? If no to either of those, you can increase wheel cut simply by installing a longer pitman arm, but beware doing this can make steering less precise.

I'll take a look to see if tire is hitting anything. Do these year vans generally have large turning radius? it's lifted with 33" tires. Also, I saw a post in the classifieds of a '06 6.0 descbribed by the owner as have a very tight turning radius which made me think I can improve mine.

Quigley turning radius is quite wide. The Agile TTB is tighter. I think the turning radius you have, if the steering has not been modified, is what it is. It might be worth checking with Quigley.

I had a quigley and it had a much tighter turning radius than my current Agile Offroad conversion. I think I lost about half a steering wheel turn with the Agile conversion over stock. But I felt like the Quigley turning radius was the same as stock.

Quigley claims 48.6' curb to curb for the newer conversions. I have a 2008 and measured mine to be pretty close to that number. That was also just about the same number that SMB claims on their 4x4 conversions on the E series vans.
4x4 Vans : Quigley Motor Company, Inc. > Technical Center > Ford E-Series Tech Center > Turning Diameter

SMB claims the following for their Sportsmobile Classic:
- Turning Circle: 49’ 2” curb to curb
