Removal of pleated shades

Hi all,

New sportsmobile owner here with a 2003 7.3l just picked up this week. It has the rb50 layout and quigley 4x4. I’ve got a list of things to do in the next couple of weeks and one of the issues I’m having is removal of the pleated shade to repair the broken string.

I can see the two tabs on the mount at the top and have pushed the tabs to twist the shade loose, but it will not come completely out. It seems that it hooked in on the opposite edge from the push tabs, but can’t see anything. It can slide side to side on the mounts but for some reason will not come completely out.

Any ideas or tips?

It’s sort of a twist lift and pull, rock it while you’re doing all that. I have mine out now and will send you a picture in a minute so you can see what’s hanging up.
you may not be able to tilt and pull forward enough due to the carpeted window surround
