Restarting LifePo battery bank

My battery bank is depleted and won't charge. After some investigation I found that my 'moment' 25 fuse had blown and another 25 amp fuse had blown located in the same fuse block (un named and unmarked).

Any suggestions on how to get the batteries awake and functioning?

Do you have a bluetooth BMS in the Lithium battery? If so check if charge or discharge has been disabled.

Do you know why the fuses blew?

....finally.....dumb question...have you replaced the fuses?

Fuses replaced. No Bluetooth BMS. No idea why they blew. Van sitting in the driveway charging everyday with solar panels. Only 12 V fridge running. Thanks

Who is your battery manufacturer? they generally have a procedure to jumpstart a battery with a disabled BMS. I assume this was from SMB, anything in their manual?

On my Lion Energy battery there's a power button on top of the pack that can be used to reconnect it if the BMS has isolated it. Check and see if you have something like that. On mine a short press displays the state of charge, a long press resets the BMS.

I had similar issue and used my lithium motorcycle tender to wake up the battery and then start the converter charger on if after that. A local van builder and friend told me that trick.

My Renogy Lithium battery bank depleted last spring due to 6 months of inactivity and I had turned off my solar panels during those six months due to freezing winter weather. In my case the draw from the CO and LPG detectors over six months were enough to deplete my batteries. In addition to the above suggestions here are some random suggestions:

-Use a voltmeter to read the voltage at the Lithium battery terminals.
-If you can, using a multimeter and with the solar panels disabled (or at night), read the amount of current, in amps, your system is drawing from the battery bank.
-Is your 12v fridge running at night when solar panels are inactive.
-Check your suspect fuses again to confirm they haven’t blown again.
-if not already check with the SMB facility where you purchased your Sprinter for their suggestions.

Even if you’re able to revive our Lithium batteries, you’re going to want to find out what caused the incident in the first place to avoid it happening again.

Ultimately a simple fix. Two copper wires and a rechargeable drill battery. Two wires ends on the positive and negative points on both the house battery and 20 volt drill battery. 1 second later they come back to life.

Also, my moment switch that would normally restart my batteries had gone bad. New switch is on its way.

That’s awesome. Is that a known fix to use a 20v small lithium battery to wake up a battery bank?

Late response, so you’ve probably already solved, but you just need to give the system 12v for a bit to wake everything up. I used one of those portable battery jumpers to wake mine. Could also just use another battery.
