Re: SMB was stolen last night

Any news??? I told all our guys in our department to keep a look out for your van as we're on the road a lot. Worthless pieces of $#!% deserve more than pepper spray.

Nothing yet. Went and had the paperwork signed off by my agent yesterday. I'm mailing off the Affidavit of Vehicle Theft, pictures, receipts, ads for comps etc. on Monday. I think State Farm waits 20 days from the date of the police report filing, so I'm looking at June 20 before I'll hear anything back.

Dammit. These thieves are going to cost you a whole summer of camping. I still get pissed when I think about your van. Just curious, did you have an alarm?

Yeah, we're back to tent camping for now. Unfortunately, all our camping stuff lived in the van full time. The only things that didn't live in the van were our big lounge chairs and Honda EU2000. Sleeping bag, pillows, stove, pots/pans, dishes...everything is gone. Gotta buy all that new again. Not really worth filing a separate renter's insurance claim for that stuff.

A buddy has offered us his pickup for July 4 and July 17 which is very nice. I'd probably be lucky to have a new van in time for labor day camping.

No alarm.

Yeah, and my daily driver just left me stranded for a while today. It needs a valvetronic eccentric shaft sensor to the tune of at least $1500. Might be driving a rental car soon
