Did you happen to do a write up in the Raptor liner project?

Here's a good breakdown on youtube for prepping Rhino liner, I'm guessing they'd be similar if not the same.

Nor32 I didn't. but here's what I learned
The coating hides a little but not as much as you might hope.
Prep now or pay later, scuff everything with 80 grit.
I primed everything with epoxy primer, if you have the compressor, it's not much more work to get a virgin surface.
Spray both vertical and horizontal coats or when the light is right you will see the lines.
Mask everything within 15' of what your spraying.
Don't put on too thick of a coat, do several coats, like 3 or 4
Be sure to have lacquer thinner around before you start.

NoR32, one last thing. If you get spray on anything you don't want it on, wipe it off immediately!!

Would mind saying how much this costs?
Can you also share before and after pics?
I chose Raptor because of the DIY aspect of it. It cost me about $1300 all up but that included renting a paint booth for a whole day in Los Angeles. You can see my write-up on it in my van build post: https://www.sportsmobileforum.com/fo...awd-26987.html

great information. thanks. looks like a heck of a lot of work to do it right. I Plasti Dipped my ugly factory wheels, with minimal prep and effort. it has been a couple of years, and they still look fair. It looks like if I am gonna do a DIY Raptor a lot more work is gonna be needed.

Probably a dumb question, but… Does the Raptor liner work on the Poptop only? I have a 2014 SMB and the top is starting to show weathering. Mainly hair line cracks. I was thinking a liner product would fill these and add protection. Any thoughts?
