Apologies if this is the wrong forum to post this infp but time is of the essence. My Tundra green 2006 SMB RB was stolen from outside my house 6 hours ago (7:25 am 9/22/21). I live in Topanga Canyon near Santa Monica. If you see it on the road please call me at 310-880-1081.

Sorry to hear, and good luck in the recovery.

If you think of any unique features, besides that beautiful color, please post back.

Stolen 2006 SMB - Los Angeles

Bugger!! I’m guessing you don’t have a locating device installed? What about area cameras? You or any neighbors have a ring doorbell or camera set up? You part of Nextdoor? You could post up there, maybe someone has a video that’ll show direction or make out the perp

Just curious, did you have an alarm on it? People post on FB vanlife groups a lot about their stolen vans and almost none had even a simple alarm installed.

Yeeaaahhh...no. No alarms or Lojack devices or anything. I've had the van since 2008 and i guess i just got too comfortable. I did have cameras on it and that info is with the police. My kids and i are so bummed! She was part of the family!

If she comes back I will definitely do better with the protection plans. I think the pandemic has boosted value of these vans. Mine has 60K on the van and 10K on a new engine. New paint and suspension too! Such a tragedy.

Thanks peoples!

PS- have you seen this?:

Yep, very unfortunate. Can't help from this side of the Country, but do hope you're able to recover soon & karma inevitable catches up to the perps.

Local fb groups!

I don’t do fb, but when a car I sold a guy got snagged between 2:30am and 5:30am that morning he reached out to me at 7:30 to lmk and asked if my wife would post up. She posted a pic of the car and a quick rundown of the when and where’s along with the owners cell by 8. By 2pm the car had been located next town over and police in route by 3. It was pretty impressive.

Hate seeing posts like this. I’ve had dreams where I cried like a little girl when my truck got nabbed... just makes me sick hearing stuff like this. Best of luck

Damn. Sorry for you. Good luck with recovering it. As shenrie said - post it on any social media places you can. People will notice the cool colour job and the van.

I'd also try posting on any van forums you can like GTRV westy and expedition portal. At least most other van owners know what to look for. I wish you good luck. Thieves suck.
