Stolen SOVREN Race Car and Trailer in Portland
Copy from an email I received Saturday and again this morning.
From: Karen McCoy (via MotorsportReg.com) [autopilot@motorsportreg.com]
SOVREN is asking everyone to be on the lookout for this stolen race car & trailer. Stolen from hotel near Portland Airport late Friday 9/6 night or early Saturday 9/7 morning:
2014 lifted Ford Econoline 4x4 Van (white) and a small enclosed white trailer with a 1966 Austin Healy Sprite (yellow) #62.
Van WA Plate #AWA9308
Trailer WA Plate #8455AB
Thanks, Everyone!

Unfortunately both the van and trailer would not stand out at all in the NW. White RB wagons are all over, even in 4x4. The car is very unique however.

Forgot to include 4x4 van in my title...
Thanks for posting the picture carringb, first I've seen this pairing. Louisville Slugger justice is well deserved for evil deeds like this...

I was looking for the pix as I saw them last week on the wife’s fb feed, but wasn’t able to locate them again. I can never find anything twice on that stupid page.
The whole situation is junk though. I hope they get their stuff back. It’s the second instance where someone’s complete setup was stolen I’ve read about this year.

Typically the rig is taken, the unregistered and seldom VIN'ed race car (tools, equipment and spares) are unloaded someplace, then the traceable VIN numbered trailer and rig abandoned somewhere. There's a special place in hell for thieves, next to the furnace.

I've got plenty of matches and gas if the furnace is out.

That is awesome news. Glad to hear a couple of positive outcomes lately, to some bad situations.
