Larry, I have purchased several of this brand's dash toppers for our various vehicles to reduce the windshield glare.

They don't seem expensive, fit nice and noticeably reduce glare. The one I have on the van dash has been in a lot of sun over the last 5 years or so and hasn't faded either. I personally like the Black Sedona Suede because the perforated smoother surface looks more up to date than the shag we had on the dash of our 90's Hondas. No affiliation with them, I just like their products.
A side note is to look into aviation sun glasses. With the installation of all the displays on the dash of aircraft or glass cockpits we aren't allowed use polarized glasses. This has caused a surge in non polarized sunglass technology. There are some amazing glasses available now for reducing glare, low light, fatigue, ect. Anyone looking into this I recommend trying them before buying as it really comes down to what brand/lens works for you. Just throwing it into the conversation.
