The ending of SMB West

Any insiders here know what the real story is on why this business closed?

It’s my understanding it was a licensing/branding issue with SMB overall. However, I chatted with Brian from SMB West a while ago and I believe they are now a separate business and still building Vans and taking orders. That information is a few months old now though.

Could be more than Licensing/Branding with all the complaints listed here over the years.

In talking with Jonny Feld, Field Van will be accepting orders on July 1, 2021. SMB West had a non compete agreement that they've been honoring with Sportsmobile when they decided to part ways last year. They have been and will continue to complete the SMB West pipeline of work in queue. You can go to the Field Van site and contact them for specific questions. That's how I got in touch. I don't know what the specifics were for going separate ways.
