You use it with the Lift Mate (https://www.amazon.com/Hi-Lift-LM100-Jack-LM-100-Lift-Mate/dp/B00042KGWG) to get enough clearance to fit your 3-ton bottle jack...

I was thinking sideways, if the complaint is a non-level surface, I wouldn't want a scissor jack over a bottle jack even if you had to make a basket for the top.

What is the stroke on that? It looks like the scissor jack from my hatchback with a motor... useful but not stable sideways.

Pretty much what my underbed looks like. How about inside the swingarm behind the tire and arm? You might have to fab a backboard to attach to but it would be out of sight.

Strapped to the spare.
In XL underfloor storage.
Hung across the rear bed panel.
Hung under the bed span.
Behind driver's seat.

The good news is it's an item you only need when you need it bad...

Definitely on my recovery tool list now, although winch and actually having a hi-lift as part of the van equipment precede it.

The way it's built it seems reinforced on top, and where common placement (in front of tire on frame) makes me think this is a bad idea, even without the potential to tear on something under the van....

I am not sure where you would use the hylift on the van? Maybe the rear trailer hitch and wheel straps?? I have a hard time understanding how the hylift works on our vans other than strapping a...

X jack doesn't use compressed air, it uses exhaust- it's very low pressure.

You're not lifting the full weight of the van, but more or less one corner. I was thinking the aluminum rails would be a problem, but most of the photos show it back up under the frame which is...
