Re: SMB Sightings

Does anyone run around in our neck of the woods? (Read that as Four Corners.)

We took about an 1,100 mile trip this week to Durango, Silverton, Ouray, Telluride, Great Sand Dunes NP, Abiquiu NM, Santa Fe, and back to ABQ. We were very much on the lookout for SMBs the whole way. Saw a couple of Westys, but no SMBs.

The closest we came to kind-of seeing another SMB was at Ghost Ranch where we ran into a couple that were the PO's of 2WD and 4WD SMBs, but had moved to an F-series with an Alaskan camper. Her dog was pulling hard, so we could only talk for less than a minute. She said they gave up on a 3rd SMB and went with the truck/slide-in option when they realized how much a dream SMB would cost.

I did manage to grab a quick pic before we both moved on....

Re: SMB Sightings

I love the Alaskan campers. We were close to getting one before we ultimately decided on a SMB.

Re: SMB Sightings

Long story short, I found myself traveling I 95 for the FL line to back home this morning. I saw not one but two SMB's headed South. Kinda epic because I think Ive only ever seen a total of 4 so far ever (3 Fords, one Sprinter)

First one was a White Chevy/GMC EB 4wd(Quigley?) with a white pop top, bumpers, etc. Towing a Flats Boat. Very nice rig but only a quick glimpse. I saw this one in South GA.

Second on was a Charcoal Grey Chevy/GMC EB 4wd (again Quigley?) with a white pop top. This one was closer to home some where in SC.

Yep, that was us. We saw you but didn't have time to wave. We'll catch you another time.
