Finally - We got a SMB!
My husband and I have been actively looking for our very own SMB rig since about last April. We finally came across the rig that fits our needs - 2002 4x4 V-10 with a modified RB 50 layout (stove, fridge, sink, one cabinet) and a manual pop top. We are so stoked about it and can't wait for the maiden trip this spring. We picked it up in Jackson last weekend and drove back to CO. The prior owner put an army green wrap on, which looks just like paint. We love the color and the wrap concept actually will protect the van a bit too. We are planning a few additions/modifications/fixes: Adding an aux fuel cell, installing the awning (which came with it), adding a Thule box (which we already own) and figuring out the best bike rack configuration for our setup. Maiden voyage from Jackson went well but we did have furnace issues - we could get the furnace turned on but it wouldn't stay on. After much research we believe it is either a low voltage battery or air flow/ventilation problem. We are getting it checked out. Below are some pictures of the rig. We feel happy and lucky to join the SMB family - and are especially appreciative of the forum folks that gave us advice along the way.

Beautiful! The V-10 is an awesome engine and the body style is timeless.
You will have many years of pleasure with that setup!

Awesome Ride!!!
Hey Mik,
Didn't this van sell out of Denver about 6 months ago to a guy in Idaho? I can't find the thread on it but..... I'm pretty sure there was a Thread.
Anyone??

I think you are correct. I was thinking of this van back then but was holding out for the 05 and up tranny. Once the second owner reposted I called but was too late I think these fine folks were in line to buy already.
Congrats on what looks like a fantastic van! Can't wait for more photos of this in use...
