Great travel video and we are heading to Aqua Verde in about 3 weeks. Not sure which beach you were on and there are a few to choose from. Guess we need to better explore AV this time.

We always stay at the north end of the main town beach at "the tree". It is very rare that there is anyone near us. There's been some property ownership changes in the town and a nice family owns the land "the tree" is on now and there is a damaged (when I was there) palapa there now. Owner is Yovani and his wife Cynthia (and young daughter Carolina). Super nice people. We had them over for a pizza night at camp. If you go and stay at that spot may I suggest bringing something for Carolina (coloring book, child book (Spanish of course), etc.). I met Yovani when he tried to get me to pay for being on his land. This was new to me as the entire beach was always free. Turns out half my van was on his land. This led to a long conversation (my Spanish isn't that great but it was a learning moment) that resulted in a friendship. He ended up saying I didn't need to pay (I did anyway as it wasn't much) and he brought me a bucket of fresh caught fish that he cleaned for us the morning we left.
You can camp on the peninsula too. I never have as it seems a little more crowded at times and we like "our spot". I'm going to check out some more spots on the way to Agua Verde in Feb / March that I've wanted to.

Thanks for the video Phil, with the wife retiring next spring maybe just maybe I'll be able to talk her into venturing down to Baja. Honestly the beach shots you shared just might do the trick.

When I took my wife down for the first time in Feb 2021 I planned the trip out based on known (to me) spots that I knew she would like and with only mild or no 4 wheeling combined with stops in Airbnb or "real campgrounds" so she could get her dose of showers and flushy toilets. Now that she has been down a couple times we can take longer between those luxury stops. She still doesn't like the exploring and unknown 4wd treks so I'm going to do more of that when I head down Feb / March then take her to spots that I know would be "wife approved".
It's not for everyone, but it's for us!
