Re: Meet and Greet at Valley of Fire, October 7-9,2011
That is Columbus Day Week end. Sorry, I cannot make it as I will be in Saline Valley.

Re: Meet and Greet at Valley of Fire, October 7-9,2011
Angel,
Sorry you won't be there. This is probably a good weekend for some to get away to Vegas and a bad weekend for others. All the more reason for me to go to V of F early to reserve people's camp sites.
You will be missed. Have fun in Saline Valley. Perhaps we should hold the Meet and Greet there.
Mac

BW:
Great! Looking forward to seeing you again! When we get closer to the date I will ask for your vehicle license number so I can reserve you a camp site.

17th birthday since what?? :-)
I have no idea what my situation will be then. but as the time gets close, if it looks like it will work, that sounds like a fun trip. I've never done any exploring to speak of in Nevada, may be about time!

I'm going to guess 17th anniversary of a re-birth.

October? Hard to plan that far ahead, but I may stop by. Sorry, I don't do campgrounds. That's why I bought a 4x4 SMB.

Re: Meet and Greet at Valley of Fire, October 7-9,2011
Yeah, but Arch Rock is a nice campground among the red rocks of the Valley of Fire. There usually are no RVs at this campground and almost all of the campsites have some good space between them. However, if you want to come and don't want to stay at the campground, Buffington Pockets is a beautiful, isolated, rough road about ten miles away and I can guarantee you will be alone if you camp out there, unless other Sportsmobilers join you. Actually Buffington would be a great place for the Meet and Greet, but I know some people like their toilets and showers. The Buffington Pocket road is a backroad scenic by-way that few people ever see.
