I got some feedback from one of the forum members who installed the steps using one of the prototype sets of brackets I made. Brackets worked...with slight massaging... I am going to update the files to incorporate his feedback and then I'll post them up.

Also curious about the updated file.

And, does anyone in the WA/OR/ID area want to split a set of steps? I only plan on installing drivers side.

I need both steps. Waiting to find a deal. Not interested in paying full new price......yet.

I love mine!!

This was before I finished up the final wiring. These require a ground circuit to operate them. My van is a 2001 so the door pin trigger is a positive pass through, so I had to wire up some relays to make it all work.

That looks real good - can we get a few more details:
-What make/model/year are those steps intended to fit?
-What was the AMP part number
-Can you post some pics of the connection to the frame/body?
-Do you have rear heat/AC installed and functioning
-Do you have any framerail mounted batteries?

Thanks for the help!

The part # was posted a few replies back. They fit 08ish toyota tundra.

MG stated they clear diesel dual battery setups.

There are decent pictures of the mounting points in this thread.

I did see a post about using Tundra steps, there have also been guys retrofitting the Hummer H2 steps and a few other options.

To date I have not seen anyone post if they clear rear A/C and heater lines which is a "must have" for me.

There are a few options for Tundra steps, looks like the MG brackets use the base model, would be nice to use the "XL" model since they give you more of a drop.

Big_ern

The brackets MG created for the tundra steps clear both frame rail batteries and the factory ac components on the drive side.
