Anyone have any recent inspirations or inventions? I'm trying to find some way to keep bugs out of my E350 when the pop out windows are extended.

Pricey, but we like our Skeeter Beaters. We have them for both the side and rear doors ($140.00 each) and they really made a big difference in how we camp. We don't worry about keeping the doors closed while at a site and have left the doors open completely while sleeping, both were impossible before. They have small ones priced accordingly to cover just the windows as well. They are really well made.

My pop out windows came with screens. Are these something other than what SMB installs? Perhaps you should take a picture of the windows you're trying to screen. Quite a few ideas out there from magnets to snaps to velcro.

They are pretty standard E350 pop out windows. No screens included.

It’s really easy. Some duct tape, scissors, and a few nuts and bolts.

The screens for those windows were an SMB option on my build that I asked for. But there are many retro fits that can work. Depends on how far you want to go. A simple method is snaps and netting. Even SMB used snaps for their front window covering. Rare earth magnets are another solution...maybe not the best but can be effective. The air flow from those windows when open isn't much but I guess some is better than nothing.

How many here would be interested in a side door opening and/or back door opening screen set? 1derGirl and I are making up a set for Beastie.
The important features we are incorporating are:
1. The screens can remain attached to the van so the doors can be opened and closed, they do not have to be taken down.
2. Easy to get in and out of the van without struggling w zippers.
We are looking at No See Um mesh as well as the normal 14 x 18 mesh.
One thing that has become very clear is how much effort goes into designing and making these screens and having them hang and work right!!
Not sure about pricing yet but definitely less than what was being charged for a set from SMB in the past.
