That would be me. I still have the RV chassis. But I also have a box truck.

I haven't touched it yet, but I will be doing a full cab swap, with engine, wiring harnesses, etc.. So it's different for me. I'm not adapting anything, just swapping everything over.

I'm trying to finish up the interior of the box truck. Then I will do the swap before I start the 4WD conversion.

Good luck with the build!

Will you have cruise control? The Ford kit for the 7.3 says it won't have it.

Go Go Godzilla

Well things are moving along on my Godzilla swap. As I posted earlier we tore the engine down to do a preventative lifter swap with Johnson lifters along with valve springs, cam and push rods. I was able to sell the 6.0 locally (to a guy with his truck in the same shop) for 5k. I’m now only 5k in for engine and transmission. What’s been great is how excited my mechanic is as he mostly fixes 6.0s. Here is a link to his channel where he is showing the progress.

Motor is out and on to a new life in a truck. Engine bay is getting cleaned and rusty stuff getting converted and painted. Some interesting measurement details from Rob: The Godzilla is -4” narrow, hight is 2” less. 6R140 looks to be 2” shorter so we’ll have to see where it comes out with the adapter/transfer case installed. I’ll post more as it happens.

My fan clutch died and was making horrible noise. I tried to convince the wife it was time to do this swap. But she didn't fall for it. So I will live vicariously through this thread!

Well upon opening the 6.0 turns out #8 melted. Now we have to sleeve the block. So much for all this bulletproof stuff. When this went down I was towing a small wells cargo trailer with 3 dirt bikes. I was on I-80 in Utah going 70 on flat ground. I don’t know if there is a lesson in this but it is annoying. Oh well on to Godzilla land!

Wow, I wonder what temp you have to reach to accomplish that??? It literally looks like the top 1/4" just liquified at some point.
