The Cleetus McFarland YouTube channel has a drag car with a twin turbo Godzilla... there are several videos of them tearing down the engine/putting it back together with a few tips and tricks for that specific engine. It doesn't look to be that complicated to do a cam swap but from all of the Godzilla content I've seen, the process is more detailed and not as forgiving as other engines.

That's also great you got everything to bolt in the drivetrain. It's such a pain trying to find part numbers for little things like engine mounts and then once you find the number they're on a nationwide backorder. I can't even count how many times I ran into this wall on the Transit 4x4 development.

I’ve watched a few swaps on cam also. The lifters are a head off affair but I don’t want to risk the stock lifters wrecking my cam.

I rented a Penske truck yesterday, a E350 C&C with a 7.3 Godzilla motor. I guess you can order the van c&c with 2 tunes. I presume the rental had the milder tune. It had slightly better then average power for a van/truck, was not as peppy as my 7.3 diesel. That being said, a spicy version should be awesome and fun. Enjoying seeing this build come together.

Hope all goes to plan.
Nice E36 M3 you got there…..sold my ‘95 M3[emoji853]
Would’ve liked to have the M3/4/5, although I’m kinda partial to that E28

I’ve got a few too many right now. In front of my daughters e30 vert is my freshly painted e28 ready to be finished. M3 needs to go. Sold my E28 M5 for a good high water mark a couple years ago. The white one is my sons we restored when he was 15. It’s waiting on an LS swap. Fun cars.

I lost interest before I ever found a 3/4/5. NOW you can find em, 20 years later.

I need to get mine back on radar before I lose interest also! Back when I made biodiesel I bought a 524td. It sits out in the weather here until I get my act together and sell it.

My v10 is having coolant burning issues... so I'm sitting up straight and listening to this 7.3 gz swap conversation closely. Any progress on the install or physical fitment in the frame as of yet?

Not yet. The 6.0 is coming out now. I will say the closer we get the more my mechanic is excited and convinced it’s a slam dunk. The Dakota digital cluster is key to this. An older model like mine also makes it easier. Chassis wise they are bolt in.
