In my case, I added a third set of slides which stiffened up the whole thing and held the latches in position preventing them from releasing from vibration.

How attached are you to that slide out cabinet? If the above suggestions don't help, consider converting it to a door and shelves. The issues you're describing are why we didn't go w a slide out.

Good luck.

I'm starting with simply replacing the original latches and rebuilding/reinforcing the messed up particle board, and I'm taking arctictravller's suggestion of adding another slider, very clever. I'm still working on some concept to add a more positive stop to the whole thing. Oogs idea is interesting, too, but we'll see if we can make this work first. Thanks everyone!

I replaced and adjusted my pantry latch so it holds pretty well, yet on really rough roads the pantry and another drawer would open, along with the fridge, so I created a slide in wooden brace that holds the pantry and drawer shut on rough roads.

So mine came straight from the factory with a snap strap. It worked and I guess was easier then redoing the front panel.

Scalf, I was picturing something like that. Is that what I'm seeing in the upper left corner of the cabinet door? How's it work? Where'd you get it?

It worked great, ready to hit the road snap it closed. The latched worked OK around camp. As I said this was made and put on by Sportsmobile. I don't have the rig anymore, so I can't give you a lot of details. They used some upholstery material, but I expect any webbing would work. Again they used their standard snaps.

After a couple of fixes involving alternate latches which were not sturdy enough in the long run I too made a slide in wooden brace. It may not look elegant but it always works.

Questions- is there a standard size of the snap screws and covers SMB/Field uses on the interiors? Can you buy them with screw covers? Source?

Has anyone tried something like a glass retainer clip for something like this? Thinking out loud...
