2005 E350 4x4 Wheel Lug Pattern
Is it possible for a Fresno built 2005 E350 Sportsmobile with 4x4 to have 8x165.1 (8x6.5) all around?

Yeah, that's how they come. The trucks are 8/170mm.

Wow, was I ever misinformed. I had read several places that the axels were from the trucks and therefore adapters were added to the rear axles to match.

Well if by Fresno-built you mean Sportsmobile West they ordered the van from ford. I can't remember exactly the years but most of the vans came with 8/6.5. So, they would also spec the front dynatrac D60 with the same lug pattern to match the rear. The rear is typically the OEM semi-float D60 with spacers to match the front wheel spacing width or WMS-WMS.
If it's a ujoint conversion then it would be 8 on 170mm since he uses axles from the F series.

Yup, SMB West. Thanks for setting me straight.

No worries. And you do probably have spacers but it's not an adapter in the sense that it changes the wheel pattern. They probably also stayed with 8 on 6.5 because not everyone goes with aftermarket rims so that matches the wheels that came on the van.

Re: Urgent - 2005 E350 4x4 Wheel Lug Pattern
Many converters (I do not have first hand knowledge for SMB West) use 8 x 170 F series on the front and rear wheel spacers that convert 8 x 6.5 to 8 x 170.
My assumption has been that this is the way SMB does it but I'm not sure.
I have a 2008 Advanced 4X4 conversion and it's 8 x 6.5.
I think Quadvan does 8 x 170 and Quigleys are either depending on how old they are.
If you are wondering about your van a cheap way to find out is to buy a cheap brake rotor at O'Reilly's or Pep Boys and see if it fits.......mid 2000's Chevy Suburban or Dodge truck fronts will be 8 x 6.5 and Mid 2000+ F250 Superduty will be 8 x 170.

Re: Urgent - 2005 E350 4x4 Wheel Lug Pattern
I was only referring to SMB West. Except for Ujoint I have no idea what the other converters use. Either way, it was my understanding that all stock vans from ford going back to the late 90s are 8 x 6.5.

Re: 2005 E350 4x4 Wheel Lug Pattern
I have a 2004 E350 with SMB West 4x4 conversion. 8 x 6.5 all around for me. I have a Dynatrac D60 in front and a full float Dynatrac D60 in the rear.

Correct.......but it's not uncommon for the 4X4 converters to use 8x170......IIRC Quadvan uses this lug pattern.
