I found out I had a bad hub when I was replacing the front driveshaft. Apparently, there is supposed to be an identification stamp on the outside, but its not there. I tried contacting Warn industries directly, but no luck. Thoughts?
Do you have a Dana 60 front axle? Those look like the regular D60 Warns...I have the same ones.
What's wrong with it? They are quite simple and robust.....
Looking a little closer D50 maybe?
Warn also makes a budget version (I used to have those) with the knob part that you turn made out of plastic. The ones you have are the "Premium" model.
Im not entirely sure what is wrong with it, but when I lock both hubs and spin the driveshaft, the drivers Ujoint still spins. Got the diagnosis procedure from here https://www.fullsizebronco.com/threa...-is-bad.55582/
Im 80 percent sure I have a Dana 60, diff cover measures 12 inches tall and about 11 wide.
You can also just jack up the suspect wheel and spin it.....unlocked the U-joint in the knuckle won't spin and locked it will. It will be very obvious. When the hubs are locked the front axles spin.......unlocked just the wheels spin.
