Sprinter 4x4 - anything I should know before buying?
Hi guys,
Apologies for the vague nature of my post but I've been offered a great deal on a Sprinter 4x4 van that I'm planning on taking.
I haven't had a sprinter since 2004 when I had one in the UK, so I'm super far out of the loop with them. I'm replacing a 2014 E-250 which I hated doing milage in.
I'll be using it for a mixture of work and play and uplifting it myself. I ski/snowboard, dirt bike and cycle with buddies so it'll be a pretty basic build-out that offers some creature comforts for road trips but retains a lot of storage.
The one I'm looking at is a 170" 2500, which seems massive, but I'm not looking at overland adventures or anything - I have a Jeep for that. Not planning on towing or anything so I figured the 2500 was a smarter play for comfort?
Anything I should know or be aware of before taking the plunge?
TLG and Fitz above have had awesome luck with theirs. I would love one but I'm a bit afraid of it cooking some electronic sensor made of unobtanium in the middle of the Saline Valley, which is where I want to be able to take a van.
Truth is, with their popularity, the service and repair networks are only getting better. There are millions of them on the road in fleet use.
