For a tie down anchor point I'm thinking of using so called "Keder Stop" in Germany.
See attached picture. At the moment I'm not sure about the diameter, size of the front rail.
My Fiamma F45s 300 black just arrived yesterday to replace my ARB awning, which I love. So today I might be able to check the diameter.
But first I have to work on a solution to put that thing up on my roof rack.

Also I suggest using Thule hold down strap side kit since the fastener/lock is made of steel instead of plastic as on the Fiammas Tie Down S kit.

Here you can see how my roof rack is setup. I plan to put the Fiamma on the same place as the ARB sits. Not to hang it on the side as most people do.

My intention is that is is better supported there and I have a better chance to stop rain getting under the awning though the gap between body and awning.
My ARB has got a Keder rail where I simply was able to insert a cord with attached canvas.

For those just getting into using their Fiamma: I found 2 spots that rub offroad/ on wash boards.
I will now try to patch it up with some teflon or similar to avoid serious damage. Especially for spot 1 I was surprised how ďbad it isĒ after a single tour and perhaps 200 miles on dirt/ washboard.

Spot 1: about 2Ē inwards from the upper leg mount

Spot 2: at the lower end of the upper telescope leg

I used some paper towels + 2 velco straps around the closed the awning for now, but will need to find a permanent solution.

Happy to learn how and where exactly you did some TLC so avoid rubbing/ rattling!

Hey guys

Ray gave me a call as he was interested in my marks and we figured out where they come from.

1. The Minor One
This one is at the top of the legs where they tilt out.
Itís slightly hitting this corner here. Iíll solve it by using a thinner felt pad.

2. The Serious One
The serious one is about 4Ē away from the link of the awning roof.
It has been caused because I slid in the legs fully before tilting them up for storage. And the roof mechanism was shrubbing on the rivet of the leg stand. Looks like it can easy be solved by not pushing the leg fully in!

NOT like this

But like this

I will still use a felt pad and make a mark on my legs, but I guess itíll be solved easy!

Thanks for following up and taking care Ray!

Hi All, I know we are still in the winter months but spring is right around the corner and summer right after that!

I currently have a very limited number of new F45S 10Ft BLACK awnings in a few locations available now for immediate pickup:

San Francisco, CA $1400 ea
Long Beach, CA $1450 ea
Loveland, CO $1350 ea

Also in Long Beach:
F80s 320 (10'6") Black in Long Beach $1550
Brackets for Sprinter 98655-772: $170 for the set

Chevy Van Brackets are in stock. Ford Econoline Brackets are on back order.

fyi - Fiamma had a couple of price increase towards the latter part of of 2022. Shipping costs also increased by over 30%. As a comparison, after these are gone, an F45s 10ft INCLUDING SHIPPING to CALIFORNIA will be around $1,550 per awning. Most other distributors are at $1500 to $1700 including shipping to California..

Let me know what you need. I can also order units for drop ship directly from Fiamma, just let me know what you are looking for!

I'm in for a 10ft F45 in titanium or black. Saw a few others in SoCal, I frequently travel between the high desert above Palm Desert, CA and San Diego, CA so could tag me onto a few locations in those areas depending what works best.
