Re: Offroad Trailer
Mike,
Prior to the current recession my wife and I used to take most of the month of May off each year and go "backpacking" in Europe. The only thing planned was the flight to Europe and the return flight a month later. We had no idea where we would go or where we would stay. It took a long time for my wife to convince me to do a trip this way. The first time I was pretty nervous for the first few days. Then I realized the worst that could happen is we might have to campout instead of stay in a hotel or B&B if we couldn't find a place to stay. And, in all of our travels, we have never been unable to stay somewhere nice. In fact, we've stayed in five-star places and paid pennies because we were walk-ins. Not having a plan has allowed us to see and do some amazing things that we would not have been able to do had we been rushing off to stay on schedule. So this is now our standard way of traveling, even in the US. I highly recommended it to even the most obsessive-compulsive of travelers. It's is so invigorating!
See you on the road (or more accurately . . . the backroads)!
Mac
