Now that I have a pair of pop-out rear windows I need the panels to go with them. I found an image of what they look like. Anybody have a pair or source for them? I'm near Atlanta.
Any 92+ Ford conversion van should have the trim pieces. The donor van doesn't have to have pop-out windows, as many pieces I've seen have molded-in areas for the latch hardware. You just have to drill the holes for the bolts.
If you can't find the ones with the molded spots you can use regular ones. I did and it worked fine. You just need to carefully drill 4 holes in the plastic and use a rotary tool to make straight clean cuts. Honestly, these days this will probably be easier than finding those panels. I'll try to find a pic of how I did mine.
Welcome. Just be careful. You only get one shot. Any trim parts like these should be grabbed whenever found. They are often needed and if you dont' need them when you find them you can most definitely sell them.
Other parts to look for if you go salvage yard hunting:
consoles, any year!
Floor mount seat belt (female side) for the pre 96 vans
pop out windows, of course

Come to think of it I think I have a set too Larrie. I don't want to interrups MG's sale but if you're still in need after the dust settles let me know. I went with the type I used because of the color. If I still have the ones I did have they will need to be painted or covered. I'll look.
