New Trip for Big Rigs Only! - Bill Burke

From Bill Burke's website. [Correction: from an e-mail notification]

This trip is especially for the large Adventure rigs. Earth Roamer, Uni-Cat, Sportsmobile, Quigley and even trailer towing vehicles! We'll explore the SE Utah area just outside of Blanding UT, visiting ancient cliff ruins, towers and sites with loads of history while traveling the back roads. We'll follow some of Chief Posey's war path (San Juan Wars) and parts of the Mormon Emigrant Hole in the Rock road and then make our way up and over the back side of the Blue Mountains dropping into Beef Basin and working our way around the two Six Shooter Buttes and ending up at the famous Newspaper Rock. We'll be out for the whole week so come prepared for about 200 miles off-highway and away from services. Some pavement, rough tracks and dirt roads, and some back-tracking! Primitive camping, scenery galore, campfire (as permitted), great camaraderie and a fun trip! Some hiking and scrambling at a few of the ruin sites to get down into them is optional. You can enjoy the ruins sitting on the rim just as easily!

June 11-15. $995./vehicle
Limit 5 vehicles.

My guess is that it will fill up quick.

Herb

pretty pricy for that trip. I would rather just explore for a week and save a grand.

I would like to go, but the timing is just not going to work for me.

I guess I should get on a waitlist for another, similar trip.

I agree that Bill's trips are well worth the investment. Both in time and money. You will learn a ton and have a great time.

There is always a new trick to learn and I'd like to attend one of these someday. It just might save your ass. Too bad the SMB rallies are gone...those looked good as well.
