When Ferries Attack - on the Discovery Channel

The Ak State Ferry we have booked to carry our brand new SMB Sprinter home next week just had a navigation malfunction:
http://www.adn.com/2012/05/07/2456166/a ... afood.html

We booked the third sailing of the season (next week) from Prince Rupert to Skagway (via Petersburg) as that Ferry usually has the first or second sailing scrubbed because something always breaks after winter dry dock repairs and has to go back (kind of like Ford vans after a visit at the dealer repairs shop eh?).

Alas, should I request that our van not be parked in the banged bow? Hmmm, Maybe we should drive up and take our chances with moose and elk on the highway.

The title "When Ferries Attack..." was one of three great snarky quips from news readers. The other two:

"I guess the coast guard will have to ban texting by ships captains while underway"
"Did Captain Hazelwood get a new job?"

Maybe they were just hungry for seafood and thought it was a drive thru

How many captains does it take to crash a ferry?

One and a fifth.
