Yes and no. We just reserved a campsite yesterday, only paid $3 extra for being a non-resident. It's only a handful of the most crowded parks that charge double.

The transaction fee ripoff thing is out of control. Recreaction.gov.. $8 to do ANYTHING. They are scalpers and it ticks me off every time I use their website. And now the state governments smell the money and are joining in the scam.

There is a class action lawsuit filed against recreaction.gov. I hope it succeeds. I've written all of my congress people on this. I encourage everyone to do so.
