Re: Overland Expo 2014
I hike out of a river trip on Sat but may go by the Expo on Sunday for last minute schwag.
Gooseberry, are you dialed on Sedona durtness? Sounds like you know Scotty and Zack at Bike-n-Bean so they can hook you up for sure. The Hogs just got adopted with some awesome rock work are riding real nice. HiLine not so much. At least not the backside.

Re: Overland Expo 2014
I know them but they know my cousin Billy more so and with the build I have not had time to ride and I plan on fixing that this trip. Krampus should be fun up that way

Re: Overland Expo 2014
This will be our first Overland Expo as SMB newbies, so we are excited. Hope to meet some of you in person.
Gooseberry, any advice on dogs at the Expo? Can you bring your dog to the classes etc.? Our four-legged child (also an ACD) always goes everywhere with us and I bet it's going to be too hot to leave him at camp ...

Re: Overland Expo 2014
Goose went to most of the classes with me. One thing to think of is what type of class's you are attending like a recovery type class that you have potential for injury.
I did have the top up with all the windows open and it stayed pretty cool in the van.

Re: Overland Expo 2014
This will be my first year with the SMB. I have been to all working or guest except the first one. I look forward to meeting other SMB owners, learn a few things and maybe start some trip ideas. I like the idea of traveling with other SMBs. It will be somewhat of a short trip as I head out Sat after lunch, but will get there Thursday.
No issues with dogs, just know there have been a few things happen. I dog next to us, off leash, last year ran up to another dog, on leash, and was attacked. It had to go to Flag for medical care. The year before someone was bit. I have decided not to bring Lexi.

Re: Overland Expo 2014
You can always dry camp in the nearby Coconino forest and drive in for the day. The forest is a little cooler, the cow pasture affords no shade and lots of people.

Re: Overland Expo 2014
BTW anyone is welcome at the sedona house. I will be up on Wednesday and unless a group does a grand canyon trip Will be around tell the following Wednesday or just might go exploring who knows. I do plan on dry camping Saturday night depending on how the festivities go.
