Question about Pop top roof sealing material

Hello,

I’m planning on restoring my roof due to rain gutter corrosion and symmetric metal fractures near the front of the Pop top cut out. I have a list material that I will need for the project, however, I’m not sure of the white sealant material that was used between the roof corrugations. Anybody know what this is?
Thank you

On typical Sportsmobile west penthouse vans the corrugations are filled with Butyl. It's available from McMaster Carr as a tape. ..not sure what the white sealant is...

Ok. It’s strange that they used that white rubbery sealant in just those ares and butyl tape everywhere else. So it makes sense to fill in those deep corrugations with butyl tape as well?

White stuff could be Dicor lap sealant added by anyone at any point in the van's life. it's a very popular RV roof sealant and most RV repair shop's go to, or was in past years.

Yep, I've done it too. You can pile up butyl pretty much as thick as you like. Awesome stuff.

Thanks for the responses. Looks like I will use butyl tape all the way around.
