SMB Outfitters awning brakets
Are there any other takers. I am going to fabrication today, so throw your name in the hat. I am going to have 10 sets made, so there will be extras for those of you that want them later.
Eli

The order has been placed. 2 weeks for fab, a couple days for paint and then off to those that want them.

Do most folks have two or three connection points between van and awning?

Eli Will the brackets rest on the new plates that SMB installed? I can't pull those off w/o body work. Actually I would like to bolt up to SMB's plate through your plate. It would lift the angle a bit and your plate would have to be wide enough to get 2 bolts in while being narrow enough to fit between the four screws that hold SMB's plate to the body. Possible?

SMB Outfitters awning brakets
I run 2 of my brakets. The Fiamma awining is designed to be straight. If you run 3 of any type of braket, you are trying to bend the Fiamma, which will not happen, so you end up putting stress on all the mounting points.
daveb, I am not sure. how wide are the SMB plates, and at what location are they. I have my breakets with in about a foot of the ends of the fiamma. They have marked areas on the back of the fiamma that they recomend ofr mount locations. I also have the 11 foot awining. Many of you only have a 10 footer. Hope this help, and I will post the exact width of mine when I get home.

I check our awning install this morning... we have 3 brackets, and the awning is mounted straight. This mounting does not follow the curved side of the van.
I am out of town now, but will get pics when I am back in town.
The three brackets all look to be different to allow for the awning to be left straight.

Heres a picture of the front mount. It rubs the door when I shut it. I would really like to do away with this mount or upgrade to something else.
