Your van has that storm trooper look, just would have to paint (or Por 15) that hoop step black to really finish it off.

I love the hoop steps - thanks again Josh. I really should black them out.

Thanks Ray. It's coming along. Just need to win the lottery to pay for everything

Finally got around to bribing my sister to build me a bug screen for my Ford side barn doors. Still have to adjust some things and add some more magnets across the bottom, but is better than the nothing I had before.

Only cost me a bottle of whiskey (cheap too - she has bad taste in booze), no-see-um netting, and magnets.

For sure. And fortunately for yourself you've got a wee-bit less "Roof" than some out there. My wife and I spent the better half of two afternoons prepping and applying "PoliGlow" to our fiberine fiberglass high top on ours. I need to remember to ramp up the shoulders a few days before and get them in the mood for all that action/polishing movement.

I've shared elsewhere that the quickest way (in my case) of adding trail bling and more to our van was letting my wife have it as her daily driver. She like never says no!

Lottery win would be nice for you : )
One thing that my wife and I did on ours was put dreams/plans to a doc in a directory and added photos, links, etc. We would revisit it over the months then years all while reading of peeps builds here and elsewhere. We continued to put funds in a "Van Account" that we wouldn't touch except for the van-build. That way, even though it's taken ~five~ years, we paid cash for it all along the way.

It was going to be around 100F today so I dropped my house batteries this morning. Getting ready for solar and energy monitor wiring.

I installed a GPS tracking device "somewhere" in my van today. Once you have one SMB stolen, ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

SPOT Trace Product

$99.00 on Amazon. 50% manufacturer rebate from 6/1-7/31. $9.99/month. It emails and texts you when your "asset" moves.

It texted me when I walked out and put the device on the hood to let it connect with the satellites. It texted me when I drove to lunch. It texted me when I drove home. It texted me to let me know my van was parked at home, all with Google maps links each time.

This is brilliant.

Got my new Overland Solar system and Victron energy monitor hooked up, and reinstalled the house batteries.
