Duracell no longer made by East Penn / Deka !!!
I just finished replacing our 2 - group 27 AGM batteries for the 2nd time. Each set has lasted 5 to 6 years. I ordered the Duracell Group 27 from Batteries Plus, and when I got them I saw that they are NOT the same battery I got last time. Do not appear to be East Penn, but now "made in Asia".
The real issue is they are slightly bigger than the old batteries. Group 27 is supposed to be the same size, but I guess there is some variation. I had to re-route my cables, and the battery is now riding in contact with the under side of the van.
On the upside, the new one says it is 100 amp-hrs instead of the old one at 95 amp-hrs. (sorry didn't think to take pictures)
