Re: 2000 4x4 Ford Van Build

Thanks, I didn't take any pics of the process. The hole was the original so it was just the matter of adding the new top. The top is a fiberine and you could call them for a quote. I had ordered a top when I was in L.A. and when I got back to Denver I was looking on craigslist there was one listed still in the shipping crate, so I then cancelled the order from fibrine. They are built to order so keep in mind they usually take a week to complete. It is a pretty straight forward process to install.
Since the build I have added solar and additional batteries. Highly recommended!! It seems as you go there is always more to do and add so take your time it's all worth it. Good luck..

WOW. That's amazing. I'm embarking on my own build. Question: Where did you get that bench?

@spurious

Very nice work, I think Im going to copy most of your setup. I just ripped my apart to start over (forth time in 2 years). I basically had a RB30 setup, but with a futon mattress, which is my preference to sleep on.

But I have been pondering a setup similar to yours and the RB50.

Any change you bought your carpet online? if so where?
And, do you have any squeaking or crackling issues? I had a ton of them when I attached the cabinets to the walls, and it was due to the flex of the van.

Many thanks and wicked sweet ride.

Re: 2000 4x4 Ford Van Build

Thank you very much..
I purchased the carpet locally but is available through any upholstery supply.

There is virtually no noise from the cabinets. Everything is tong and grove jointed and glued and screwed.

Thanks!

It was nice to meet you and your pops yesterday in Hungry Valley, I took some great shots and video but lost them due to hitting the format option .

Wow, it's for sale

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 026wt_1165

I presume you won't mind my posting it here, Spurious, since you're trying to sell. Oh, i read the listing. Spurious isn't the one selling. What did you trade it for?

Very reasonably priced i think.

I really like you're design and use of materials, one of the nicest interior builds I've seen. The flat screen on the adjustable arm is a great idea, I am planning on doing something very similar.
